At AYT Clinic, we are dedicated to supporting you through every stage of your labiaplasty recovery. Mild swelling, bruising, tenderness, tightness and discomfort around the treated area are common during the first few days after surgery. Temporary sensitivity, numbness or mild spotting may also occur as the tissues begin to heal. Our experienced medical team provides personalised aftercare and guidance to support a safe, comfortable and smooth recovery.
During your hospital and hotel stay in Antalya, our medical team will monitor your healing and provide the necessary post-operative support. Your follow-up care may include checking the surgical area, reviewing swelling and wound healing, providing guidance on prescribed medications and explaining appropriate intimate hygiene and wound care. If dissolvable stitches have been used, you will also receive instructions on how to care for the area while the sutures gradually dissolve.
You will receive individual guidance about sitting, walking, showering, sleeping, clothing and returning to work and normal daily activities. Loose, comfortable clothing and underwear are generally recommended during early recovery to minimise unnecessary pressure and friction around the surgical area. Running, cycling, heavy lifting, strenuous exercise and other activities that place significant pressure on the genital area should be avoided until your surgeon confirms that they are safe.
Sexual intercourse, tampons and menstrual cups should be avoided during the early healing period. Depending on your individual recovery, patients may need to wait approximately 4–6 weeks or longer before resuming penetrative sexual activity. You should not resume sexual intercourse based only on a general timeline; your surgeon should confirm that the tissues have healed sufficiently.
Smoking, nicotine and vaping can negatively affect blood circulation and wound healing and should be avoided for the period recommended by your surgeon. Alcohol should also be avoided during the early recovery period, particularly while taking medications that may interact with alcohol. Take all prescribed medications exactly as instructed and do not start, stop or change medications or supplements without discussing them with your medical team.
Careful intimate hygiene after labiaplasty is particularly important. Keep the treated area clean and dry according to your surgeon's instructions and avoid rubbing or scrubbing the tissues. Perfumed soaps, intimate deodorants, fragranced products and other potentially irritating products should not be used until your medical team confirms that they are appropriate.
Your recovery remains our priority even after you return home. At AYT Clinic Antalya, our patient support team stays in contact with you throughout your labiaplasty recovery, providing ongoing guidance and answering questions about swelling, stitches, wound care, medications, hygiene, physical activity, sexual activity and your healing progress.
We are committed to supporting you throughout your labiaplasty aftercare, with your safety, privacy, comfort and well-being at the centre of our care. Recovery varies from patient to patient, particularly when labiaplasty is combined with other vaginal aesthetic procedures, so always follow the specific post-operative instructions provided by your surgeon.
